<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Ni-W-S alloy electrode for alkaline water electrolysis which is excellent in hydrogen generation efficiency and current efficiency, a method for manufacturing the same, and a hydrogen generator using the Ni-W-S alloy electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode includes an Ni-W-S alloy film 2 formed on a base material 1, and the W content in the alloy film 2 is 0.6 mass% or more and 3 mass% or less, and the S content is 8 mass% or more and 44 mass% or less. The Ni-W-S alloy film 2 preferably has a finely uneven surface, and has an amorphous or microcrystalline X-ray diffraction pattern. This electrode for alkaline water electrolysis can be manufactured by a wet film-forming means of bringing an Ni-W-S alloy plating solution into contact onto the base material or by a dry film-forming means of depositing the Ni-W-S alloy film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
