PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle control device and an electric vehicle control method capable of appropriately suppressing vibrations.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle control device of the present invention controls a torque generated by a motor on the basis of a rotational torque command value based on a driver's accelerator operation or brake operation and a vibration control torque command value for suppressing a vibration component derived from vehicle resonance at a time of controlling the torque generated by the motor for generating the torque that drives each driving wheel to be braked via a speed reduction mechanism and a drive shaft coupled to the speed reduction mechanism. The electric vehicle control device reduces the torque generated by the motor if predetermined conditions are met.
