PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine having high washing performance by achieving a high circulation flow rate while maintaining mountability of a circulation pump and low noise.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine includes: an outer tub for storing water inside; a drum which is supported inside the outer tub in a rotatable manner and in which clothes are accommodated; a drum motor for rotationally driving the drum; water supply means for supplying water into the outer tub; a circulation pump for sucking water from the outer tub and sprinkling water toward the inside of the drum; a filter case disposed on an upstream side of the circulation pump and incorporating a filter for foreign object collection; and driving control means for controlling the drum motor, the water supply means and the circulation pump. A cross sectional area of an inflow port for allowing the water to flow inside the filter case and its upstream side flow passage is made to be equal to or more than 707 mm2, and a circulation flow rate by the circulation pump is made to be equal to or more than 35 L/min and equal to or less than 68 L/min. |
