摘要 <p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for calculating frequency of occurrence of instant voltage sag using simulation comprising: an instant voltage sag sensing part to sense instant voltage sag occurred in an electric power system; a monitoring part to generate monitoring data by recording and classifying information on an instant voltages sag sensed and calculate occurrence frequency of an instant voltage sag by analyzing monitoring data; a simulation part to calculate forecasted value of occurrence frequency of an instant voltage sag through a simulation; a calibration coefficient calculating part to calculate demanded monitoring period required for securing accuracy based on a probability distribution model and calculate a calibration coefficient based on the difference between demanded monitoring period and actual monitoring period; and a calibration result calculating part to calibrate the occurrence frequency of instant voltage sag calculated depending on a calibration coefficient, whereby reliance of occurrence frequency of instant voltage sag can be secured even if data monitoring period is short by calibrating the occurrence frequency of instant voltage sag calculated in an analysis of monitoring data obtained from the measurement of power quality in an electric power system using the forecasted value of the occurrence frequency of instant voltage sag calculated through a simulation.</p>
