<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for heavy load which is excellent in fuel economy and drainage performance by properly partitioning, with various narrow grooves, a land part positioned at a central area of a tread surface of a tread part. <P>SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire for heavy load, a pair of circumferential main grooves 2a and 2b extending along the circumference of the tire are arranged on the tread surface of a tread part across a tire equator E. The tread surface of tread part is partitioned into a central area 3 and both side areas 4a and 4b. Three circumferential narrow grooves 6a-6c extending along the tire circumference C are arranged on the central area 3, to form four central rib-like land parts 7a-7d. When grounded, the openings of the circumferential narrow grooves 6a-6c are closed, and the central rib-like land parts 7a-7d, positioned adjacent to each other across the circumferential narrow grooves 6a-6c, support each other in a contact manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
