<p>The overhead line system has overhead conductor rails (1), which are fixed in a center region of the overhead line system by a fixed point to a structure. One of the overhead conductor rails has a transverse carrier (2) at an upper side. Two downwardly directed tensioning arms (8) are originated from the transverse carrier at connecting points for holding a contact wire (9). The transverse carrier has conically tapered moldings (3) on both sides of the connecting points of the tensioning arms. The moldings are inserted in corresponding recesses (4) of a clamping fitting (5).</p>
