Various aspects of the present disclosure provide the concept of a wireless docking profile, which may be standardized across a number of vendors, such that a common standard defining minimum sets of peripherals can be shared by dockees and docking hosts to simplify connection setup and negotiation. Further aspects of the disclosure provide a docking procedure that may be utilized to establish a docking connection between the dockee and the docking host to utilize such a docking profile.
