The invention relates to an internal combustion engine with rotary piston. According to the invention, the engine consists of an engine block comprising a casing (13) of the planetary gear, a cylinder (7) of the piston with polygon-shaped profile and a casing (4) of the main shaft, into the casing (13) of the planetary gear, there being serially introduced an antifriction sleeve (24), some shafts (12) of some pinions (16), an antifriction sleeve (27) being forcedly introduced into the bore of a sun wheel (23) having a number of teeth (Z4 and Z5), followed by mounting the same on an eccentric shaft (20) together with a spacer ring (11) and a washer (22), respectively, they being positioned in respect of the eccentric shaft by means of a safety ring (21), the eccentric shaft (20) together with the sun wheel (23) being then introduced into the casing (13) and, after forcing the sleeves (14) into the bore of the pinions (16) having a number of teeth (Z2 and Z3), the assembly is mounted onto the shaft (12) while observing the marks for positioning the distribution system, a front cover (17) being employed to frontally close the casing (13) and to position the shafts (12 and 20) and achieving the lubrication system as well, a sleeve (18) ensuring the alignment of the shaft (20) and the sealing of the system being ensured by an oil retainer (19), where the orifice for oil dripping between the sleeve (18) and the oil retainer (19) is placed in the sectional plane and an oil pump (25) is used for lubrication and ensuring the oil pressure in the slide bearings, while another oil pump (26) provides for the cooling of the polygon-shaped piston, a cylinder (7) being fixed within the casing (13), a polygon-profiled piston (10) making one piece with a cover (8) and a toothed wheel (9), and, finally, after the mounting of some axial piston rings (31), some radial piston rings (29) and some blade-springs (30) on the piston, a sleeve (28) is introduced into the bore of a toothed wheel (Z6) to form a subassembly which is introduced into the cylinder, while observing the operating position.
