Cleaning robot and the driving method

PURPOSE: A robot cleaner, and a driving method thereof are provided to improve cleaning efficiency by dividing a cleaning area into uniform cells. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner(10) is composed of a map storage unit(20), a sensor unit(30), an information analyzing unit(40), a control unit(50), and a driving unit(60). The map storage unit stores previously formed map information of a cleaning area. The information analyzing unit calculates a present location from the information. The control unit allows the robot cleaner to clean a cleaning place by deciding a cleaning method according to the calculated present location. The driving unit powers a motor depending on the control unit.
