A connector for a coaxial cable having an externally helically grooved outer metal covering comprises an internally threaded element 50 which is screwed on to the grooved outer cable covering, a housing consisting of a shell 12, threaded for engagement with a mating connector, and a body 18, with an internal web 20, locked together by a C-ring 28 engaging in grooves 16 in the shell and the body. An outer contact 30 and insulating insert 32 are located in one side of the web 20, and a gasket 38 and a member 36, with a rib 37 which bites into it, are placed on the opposite side of the web together with a collet clamp 42. All these components have axial apertures through which the cable, with a male contact 34 secured to the inner conductor and the element 50 screwed on to the outer covering, is inserted. A nut 48 is then screwed into the body to tighten the collet clamp on to the element 50 and the cable insulation.
