PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pharmaceutical compositions for treating bone loss.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains fully humanized antibody molecules that can regulate activity of an osteoprotegerin ligand (OPGL). The antibody molecules inhibit osteoclast differentiation induced by binding of the OPGL to an osteoclast differentiation and activation receptor (ODAR). Also provided are methods of treating osteopenic disorders such as osteoporosis by administering the antibodies, and methods of detecting the amount of the OPGL in a sample.
