The tractor-trailer pneumatic servo-control of the parent Specification is modified by the provision of a single vacuum reservoir 101, Fig. 1, on the trailer 2, instead of two reservoirs (55, 58) on the tractor 1 and trailer 2 respectively, the single reservoir 101 being connected to an intermediate conduit 33 in the distributer valve 27 separated from the suction manifold by a one-way valve 61. The reservoir 101 has an integral one-way valve 107 to maintain vacuum upon disconnection of direct, non- valved joints 105, 106.
