PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the color development of individual colors when printing using metallic ink and color ink is performed.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus can perform printing using metallic ink and color ink. The printing apparatus includes: an input unit for inputting image data; a metallic dot forming unit for forming dot concentration type dots on a printing medium by using the metallic ink; and a color printing unit for printing an image represented by the image data on the printing medium with metallic ink dots formed thereon by using the color ink.
