<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-light irradiation device for a printer such that an ultraviolet-light irradiation light source has superior heat radiation effect and a printing head is suitably made fast.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a head guide rail supported on a machine body side; a printing head provided on a head carriage fitted movably to the head guide rail; and support means of supporting a printing medium. The position relation between the head carriage and printing medium is moved relatively under the control of a controller in a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction, and the printing head jets ultraviolet curable ink to print the printing medium. An ultraviolet-light irradiation light source which extends along the length of the head guide rail is fitted to the head guide rail so as to irradiate the printing medium with ultraviolet light of the light source.</p> |
