<p>The present invention relates to a fuel filter for the fuel pump of a car and a manufacturing method thereof, which has a support member positioned therein and coupled to be forcibly fit to an external discharge part, thereby preventing an injection-molding defect and reducing processes. According to the present invention, a fabric for the fuel filter is not inserted in the injection-molding processes of a cap and the support member, so foreign matters can be fundamentally prevented from being generated in the fabric and process time required to manufacture one of the fuel filter can be reduced. And, the fabric is not inserted into an injection-molding machine, so the losses of the process time and a labor force to accurately fix the fabric to the injection-molding machine or defects caused thereby can be fundamentally prevented. In addition, the manufacturing method is capable of manufacturing only injection-molded objects (the cap and the support member) required for the fuel filter, thereby reducing the size or the structure of the injection-molding machine or simplifying the injection-molding machine economically. Furthermore, the support member is not bonded to a filtering part, so a problem that a filtering area is reduced as much as the bonding area of the support member in the case of injection-molding and bonding can be solved. Provided is a fuel filter for the fuel pump of a car, which comprises: a filtering part (10) filtering a fuel sucked by the fuel pump; a discharge part (20) transferring the fuel, which passed through the filtering part, to the fuel pump; and a support member (30) positioned in the filtering part, maintaining the shape of the filtering part, having a connection part (31) connected to the discharge part (20), and having an arm (32) maintaining a filter shape and not boned to the filtering part (10), wherein the connection part (31) and the discharge part (20) are coupled to be forcibly fit to each other.</p> |
