<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sterilize bacteria belonging to the genus of Legionella without using chlorine and a filter. <P>SOLUTION: The hot spring water sterilizing apparatus includes a heat pump 3 for sterilizing bacteria belonging to the genus of Legionella by heating the hot spring water of below 60°C guided from the fountainhead to 60°C or above, a hot spring water storage tank 17 for storing the hot spring water heated by the heat pump 3, a cold spring water tank 19 for cooling the hot spring water of 60°C or above supplied from the fountainhead by the heat absorption of the heat pump 3 and a hot spring water distributing tank 21 for storing the hot spring water to be distributed by mixing the hot spring water guided from the hot spring water storage tank 17 with the cold spring water guided from the cold spring water tank 19.
