SCHEDULER FOR MEMORY

A scheduler controls execution in a memory of operation requests received in an input request set (IRS) by providing a corresponding output request set (ORS). The scheduler includes zone standby units having a one-to-one relationship with corresponding zones such that each zone standby unit stores an operation request. The scheduler also includes an output processing unit that determines a processing sequence for the operation requests stored in the zone standby units to provide the ORS.

1. A scheduling method comprising:
storing an operation request for a corresponding zone among a plurality of zones, into which multiple blocks corresponding to virtual space and having neighboring logical addresses are respectively grouped, in a plurality of zone standby units which one-to-one correspond to the plurality of zones; determining a processing sequence of the operation request stored in the plurality of zone standby units; and outputting an output request set comprising the operation request arranged on the basis of the processing sequence.
