The present invention relates to an image converting method and to an apparatus thereof. If a face image obtained under a light source of a first wavelength band is inputted, an albedo image is obtained from the inputted face image, the albedo image is gridded in multiple face areas, and the albedo values of a second wavelength band are obtained by applying map function for converting into the image of the second wavelength band for the albedo value for each pixel of the gridded face area. The albedo image of the second wavelength band is obtained based on the albedo values of the second wavelength band obtained by the face area. |
