A radiation-resistant halogen-free flame-retardant resin composition comprising 100 parts by mass of a resin component including an olefin block copolymer, such as Ethylene-octene copolymer, 1-30 parts by mass of an aromatic amine-based antioxidant, such as a diphenylamine compound or a Quinoline compound; and 50-300 parts by mass of a metal hydroxide, such as magnesium hydroxide. Also disclosed is use of the radiation-resistant halogen-free flame-retardant resin composition as an insulation layer 3 for a wire 1 on the outer periphery of a conductor 2, such as a copper wire, used in a cable 10 having a sheath 4 on the outer periphery of the wire 1, formed of the composition. |
