The present invention relates to a data processing apparatus, which is capable of performing a normal gamut mapping according to a usage amount of a white image signal and a ratio of chromatic colors, a display device including the same, and a gamut mapping method. The data processing apparatus comprises: a first reference value generation unit which generates a first reference value corresponding to a portion of chromatic colors by using at least one among image signals and first image signals obtained by gamma-correcting the image signals; a white color generation unit which generates a white color image signal and second image signals by using the first image signals and a second reference value corresponding to a white color data amount; a third reference value generation unit which generates a third reference value by using first color coordinates which are color coordinates of the second image signals, second color coordinates which are color coordinates of the white image signal, the first reference value, and the second reference value; and a gamut mapping unit which generates third image signals which map the second image signals with the color coordinates corresponding to the third reference value.
