A processing device that acquires an imaging signal imaged by an endoscope provided with an imaging element having multiple pixels, said processing device comprising: an error detection unit that detects errors for each pixel on the basis of the imaging signal; a state detection unit that detects the external state in the proximity of the endoscope; an image processing unit that subjects the imaging signal to imaging processing that includes correction processing for correcting, in accordance with the detection result of the state detection unit, the brightness value of an error pixel that is a pixel for which an error has been detected by the error detection unit; and a condition setting unit that, in response to the detection result of the state detection unit, sets conditions for image processing by the image processing unit.
