The present invention relates to an electric cable feeding system and a method thereof which easily and automatically realizes electric cable feeding using a caterpillar cable feeding robot in a large vessel and a marine construction site. The electric cable feeding system comprises: a robot moving from a tray hanger by gripping a cable; a recording means recording a moving path of the robot; and a managing means managing the movement of the robot in accordance to the information about the moving path recorded by the recording means and the preset design information, thus automatically performing the electric cable feeding work in a limited space and with a reduced labor of workers.
