Provided are expandable polystyrene resin particles for low-ratio expansion molding, comprising 0.02 to 2.5 parts by mass of a higher fatty acid amide, 0.02 to 2.5 parts by mass of a higher fatty acid triglyceride, and 100 parts by mass of expandable polystyrene resin particles comprising a polystyrene resin containing an expanding agent and having an average particle diameter in a range from 300 µm to 2500 µm, the surfaces of which are coated with the higher fatty acid amide and the higher fatty acid triglyceride in combination; low-ratio expanded particles obtained by expanding the particles at a low expansion ratio; and a low-ratio expanded molded article obtained by expansion molding of the low-ratio expanded particles in a mold.  The expandable polystyrene resin particles for low-ratio expansion molding, which is suitable for producing a low-ratio expanded molded article having high bending strength and compressive strength, and with which an expanded molded article in which the fusion ratio of expanded particles is high and the elongation of expanded particles is excellent is obtained by expansion molding in a mold can be provided.
