<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a disc grinder which has excellent safety in spite of a simple structure.SOLUTION: A safety device 20 for a disc grinder, which is attached to a disc grinder 10, includes a fixing member 21 for fixing the disc grinder 10, a movable protective body 22 which can be displaced upward from an initial position enclosing an outer peripheral part of a rotary disc 11, and an energizing member 23 which energizes the movable protective body 22 having been displaced upward from the initial position so as to return it to the initial position. When the safety device 20 for a disc grinder is attached to the disc grinder 10 and an object 50 to be ground is pressed to a lower side of the movable protective body 22, the movable protective body 22 is displaced upward from the initial position to enable grinding of the object 50 to be ground. When the rotary disc 11 is moved away from the object 50 to be ground, the movable protective body 22 is automatically returned to the initial position to bring the rotary disc 11 into a state where the rotary disc 11 is enclosed with the movable protective body 22.</p> |
