PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium ejection device capable of preventing, by a simple configuration, a loaded state of recording media placed on an ejection tray from being disturbed or the recording media from being caught into a pair of ejection rollers during switchback of the recording media, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the recording medium ejection device.SOLUTION: A job separator 25 includes: a paper inlet 32 communicating with a paper conveyance path in a body of an image forming apparatus; a paper outlet 33 opening to a second paper ejection tray side; and a reversing port 35 for switching back paper when the paper is printed on both surfaces. A branch guide 37 for switching a paper conveyance direction to the paper outlet 33 or the reversing port 35 is disposed on an upstream side of the paper outlet 33 and the reversing port 35 with respect to a paper ejection direction.
