<p>The invention relates to a test body, in particular made from a polymer material, for investigating the material properties of a component design, comprising a hollow body (3), sealed at one end with a domed base (7) and which may be sealed at the opposite end to the domed base (7) with a lid or a second test body (1.2) and comprises a connector (11) which may be connected to a medium or pressure line. The hollow body (3) is essentially cylindrical in form (3) and has a flattening (5) on one side.
