METHOD AGAINST OBESITY BY MEANS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.

The present invention refers to a method against obesity by means of physical activity, which is created by the need to reduce the overweight and obesity index suffered in Mexico. Nowadays in Mexico, close to 70% of the population suffer from this ailment, thus being an important challenge of Public Health. The lack of physical activity and bad eating habits are two of the main causes of this epidemic. The lack of physical activity in Mexico is alarming, studies reveal that only 27.6% of the population perform a physical activity (Fundación Este País, 2010); the new social conditions of our country lead the children and young people to spend more time indoors, replacing outdoor games by long hours in front of the television, videogames or the Internet. Before this scenery, schools and public spaces have been transformed in ideal places where to fight in a direct manner this problem, within an already known and safe environment for the users. Nowadays the schools in Mexico spend abou t 90 minutes per week of physical education, this representing only the 40% of the minimal physical activity recommended to school-age children. The method against obesity by physical activity looks to innovate the way of performing the physical activity in schools and public spaces in an efficient and safe manner, this being focused on the caloric expenditure, obtaining results in a short period of time. The program is carried out by means of equipment specially designed to be adapted to the needs and sizes of each level, this being installed outdoors and being resistant to heavy duty, requiring a reduced maintenance. The activity is performed in sessions of 30 minutes with about 50 users at the same time, without a specialized instructor, following circuits for working out different parts of the body, ensuring a caloric expenditure 95% higher than a physical education session, always ensuring the safety and emotional integrity of the user.
