<p>A plunger type laminar flow cooling device includes several groups of cooling units. Each group includes a collecting tube (1) with several nozzles (3), two plunger tubes (4), two plungers (5) and several drive units. The two plunger tubes (4) are provided in parallel on two ends of the collecting tube (1). The adjacent ends of the two plunger tubes (4) are both enclosed ends. The two plunger tubes (4) are in communication with each nozzle (3) through several through-holes provided on the walls of the plunger tubes (4). The two plungers (5) are arranged in the two plunger tubes (4) respectively. The two plungers (5) move along the axial direction to obstruct the through-holes. Outer diameters of the plungers (5) match with inner diameters of the plunger tubes (4). Several drive units drive the two plungers (5) moving inwards or outwards in the plunger tubes (4). By using the device, strip steels with different widths can be cooled with less cooling water.</p> |
