<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for managing a group key, a recording medium thereof. The disclosed apparatus of managing a group key, in an apparatus of managing a group key for communications in a group, includes a group key generation part which generates a group key by using a random value and symmetric keys of n (a natural number of two or more) terminal devices included in a predetermined group; and a transmission part which transmits the group key to at least one among the terminal devices. The group key is renewed when the member of the group is changed. According to the present invention, the terminal devices efficiently generate and distribute the group key even when the terminal devices frequently join and withdraw from the group. Also, according to the present invention, a front direction safety and a back direction safety with regard to the group key are secured together.</p> |
