PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of properly supplying an annular member such as a line packing to a predetermined portion of a spark plug.SOLUTION: A spark plug includes: a center electrode; a cylindrical insulator which is disposed on the outer periphery of the center electrode and in which unevenly shaped corrugations are formed on the outer periphery on the rear end side; a cylindrical main body metal fitting disposed on the outer periphery of the insulator; an annular member; and an annular member arrangement part which is disposed at the more tip end side than the corrugations and surrounded with the inner peripheral surface at the rear end of the main body metal fitting and the outer peripheral surface of the insulator. A method of manufacturing the spark plug includes: a first step in which the annular member is made to pass through a portion where the corrugations are formed from the rear end side of the insulator while keeping the annular member in contact with a supply device for supplying the annular member to the annular member arrangement part; and a second step in which, after the first step, contact between the supply device and the annular member is released to supply the annular member to the annular member arrangement part. |
