<p>In a vehicle, particularly in a motor vehicle, comprising an anti-lock braking system (ABS), the device comprises: sensors (2) for measuring wheel speeds; an electronic component (1, 5) that is wired and/or programmed for analyzing the values measured by the sensors so as to detect a vehicle instability situation; a mechanism (4, 7) for producing brake pressure which mechanism is controlled by the electronic component (1, 5) when it detects a potential vehicle instability situation so as to allow the antilock braking system (ABS) to keep the vehicle in a stable situation while at the same time reducing its speed without requiring a driver of the vehicle to operate the brakes.</p> |
