<p>Abstract IMPROVED ANCHOR ASSEMBLY FOR GROUTABLE CABLE BOLTS There is provided with an improved anchor assembly [1], for a cable bolt having a barrel [2] with a channel [104] extending between opposite open ends [9] of the barrel [2] for insertion of a cable [257] therethrough and wedge assembly [3] for wedging the cable [257] to the barrel [2], wherein the improved anchor assembly [1] comprises a sealing means [18] having an annular body structure [23] being substantially rigid for mounting in a portion of the barrel or channel; and a flexible sealing portion [21] dependent from and supported by the annular body structure [23] to form a collar; wherein the barrel [2] is adapted to receive the annular body structure [23] of the sealing means [18] in or on a portion thereof such that the collar [21] extends at least partly into the channel above the wedge assembly [3], and wherein the collar contacts the cable when the cable is inserted through the channel so as to substantially prevent ingress of cement grout into the barrel and wedge anchor assembly following pumping of grout into a borehole. r. 3 Figure 9 Figure 10B 20 Figure 10A 20 F l 5a Sc 5b Figure 11 Figure 12 Figure 13</p> |
