PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner slipping even if a polymerization toner is used.SOLUTION: A process cartridge comprises an image carrier, a charging member, developing means to supply the polymerization toner to the image carrier and to develop a latent image, and a cleaning blade being contact with the image carrier to remove the polymerization toner adhering to the image carrier. The charging member comprises a conductive support, at least one elastic layer formed around the conductive support, and an uneven portion formed on a surface of the charging member. Projections forming the uneven portion form gaps that can discharge electricity between the charging member and the image carrier while being elastically deformed by contacting with the image carrier. |
