PRESSURE MEDIUM AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING GRAPHITE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure medium in a CIP molding device which is used for producing a graphite material and where a raw material for the graphite material in the pressure medium can be easily removed even if the raw material is mixed in the pressure medium and to provide a method for producing the graphite material using the same.SOLUTION: A pressure medium used for producing a graphite material by CIP (Cold Isostatic Pressing) molding where a raw material powder consisting of a pitch and a coke powder is molded is an emulsion comprising: an oily substance having compatibility to the raw material powder; water; and a surfactant. In a method for producing the graphite material, the raw material powder consisting of the pitch and the coke powder is molded by the CIP molding using the pressure medium.
