PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an end of a rib fixed to a transfer belt from being separated and easily peeled off the transfer belt during traveling.SOLUTION: A transfer unit 200 includes: an intermediate transfer belt 20 stretched between a plurality of rollers so as to run endlessly; a rib 20a arranged along a traveling direction on a back side of the intermediate transfer belt 20 at an end in a direction orthogonal to a traveling direction of the intermediate transfer belt 20; and a caulking pin 501 arranged in a part of the rib 20a near a seam 20b to caulk ends 20a1, 20a1 of the ribs 20a facing each other across the seam 20b, for fixing them.
