<p>The purpose of the present invention is to protect a switch circuit by providing a switch circuit current blocking unit having a preset stable operating current value, measuring a current value of an LED unit with respect to an input voltage, and preventing a current from flowing through the switch circuit when a value of a current flowing to the LED unit is equal to or greater than the stable operating current value. To achieve this, an LED lighting apparatus for protecting a switch circuit through current control is provided, including: a power unit to supply input power; a rectifier circuit to receive the input voltage from the power unit and to output rectified power; an LED unit having an (n+1) number of LED channels serially connected to each other, and a resistor unit connected to the final end of the LED channel; a current sensing resistor; and a switch circuit including an n number of switches, in which an m^th switch is connected to a rear end of an m^th LED channel to control the operation of the LED channel and the m^th switch is controlled by the sum of a current of the m^th switch and a current of an (m+1)^th switch that flow through the current sensing resistor; and a switch circuit current blocking unit serially connected to the resistor unit to block a current flowing through the switch circuit by monitoring the current flowing through the switch circuit.</p> |
