The present invention relates to a method for preparing a heterogeneous catalyst and to a method for producing hydrogen from a formic acid by using the same, which prepare a heterogeneous catalyst having metal nanoparticles carried by active carbon, and produce hydrogen from a formic acid in an environmentally friendly way by using the same. The method for preparing a heterogeneous catalyst can synthesize a catalyst in an environmentally friendly way because an additional stabilizing ligand is not needed during a catalytic synthesis, and can economically produce hydrogen by collecting the synthesized catalyst with such a centrifugal method or a filter and recycling after reacting hydrogen. The method comprises the steps of (a) preparing a solution by dissolving a Pd precursor alone or the Pd precursor with one or more metal precursor selected from a group consisting of Fe, Cu, Co, and Ni precursor in an organic solvent; (b) dispersing active carbon in the prepared solution; and (c) preparing a heterogeneous catalyst having metal nanoparticles carried by the active carbon by dispersing the active carbon and then adding a reducing agent. |
