<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute color conversion capable of reproducing a color scheduled by image data before compression in recording based on image data compressed and decompressed by a lossy compression method in an image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus obtains a range in which a signal value of a black image, such as a black letter to be recorded with a black ink, receives an influence of image data compression (S401, S402), to generate a color separation table in a manner to use a black ink without using a color ink in the range of concern (S403). Thus, it is possible to reproduce a scheduled color of the image data before compression in recording (S404) based on image data compressed and decompressed by a lossy compression method.</p> |
