<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming apparatus in which the difference of the contact time of a sheet loading part with a driven roller between a full loaded condition and a few loaded condition is reduced, generation of a feeding fault is suppressed, and reliability during sheet conveyance is improved.SOLUTION: A sheet feeder 30 includes a pair of conveyance rollers 15 for holding and conveying a sheet P fed from a lifting plate 3 with a feeding roller 9, and a flag 10 and a photo interrupter 11 for detecting a predetermined rotational position of the feeding roller 9. When the sheet P on the lifting plate 3 is being fed by rotation of the feeding roller 9, a control section separates the lifting plate 3 from the feeding roller 9 by controlling an eccentric cam 47 on the basis of the detection by the flag 10 and the photo interrupter 11.</p> |
