<p>Disclosed is a pharmaceutical combination comprising an atypical antipsychotic drug and a glycine transporter inhibitor GlyT1 receptor antagonist of formula (I). An examples of a compound of formula (I) is [4-(3-fluoro-5-trifluoromethylpyridin-2-yl)-piperazin-1-yl]-[5-methanesulfonyl-2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1-methyl-ethoxy)-phenyl]-methanone (also known as Bitopertin or RG1678). Examples of an atypical antipsychotic drug are risperidone, paliperidone, olanzapine, aripiprazole, quetiapine and ziprasidone. The compounds are useful in the treatment of positive and negative symptoms in schizophrenia.</p> |
