摘要	<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely dim and light a semiconductor light emitting element with simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device for the semiconductor light emitting element includes control means for performing OFF control to a switching element Q1 when a current flowing through the switching element Q1 reaches a predetermined value and performing ON control to the switching element Q1 when discharge of energy accumulated in an inductor L1 is completed after the switching element Q1 is turned off.
