An interior trim component for a vehicle includes a trim panel (10). The trim panel (10) includes a substrate layer (12), a protective layer (14), and an organic light emitting diode portion (16) disposed between the substrate layer (12) and the protective layer (14) for displaying one or more surface appearances (32, 150a, 150b, 150c) on the trim panel (10) within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A method for forming an interior trim component is also disclosed. A method for operating an interior trim component of a vehicle is also disclosed. |
