PURPOSE: A method for encoding a video according to motion prediction by using a random partition, a device thereof, a method for decoding the video according to motion prediction by using the random partition, and a device thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of image decoding and encoding by decoding each image data by checking encoding depth. CONSTITUTION: A video decoding device receives a bit stream about an encoded video and parses the same(1310). The device extracts image data of a current picture allocated the maximum encoding unit and information about encoding depth by maximum encoding unit and an encoding mode(1320).
