<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renewal method of an elevator and the elevator, in which renewing a rope type elevator of 1:1 roping system to a rope type elevator of 2:1 roping system, without executing additional construction of a floor for installing a hoist.SOLUTION: When renewing a 1:1 roping elevator to a 2:1 roping elevator, a renewal method carries out a preparation construction for enabling a car 11 and a balance weight 12 to be suspended, and a preparation process of providing fixing means F for fixing end parts of a rope for 2:1 roping, respectively, within a hoistway 13 formed under a floor of a machine room 1 where a hoist is installed; and a process of winding the rope 8R for 2:1 roping so as to suspend the car 11 and the balance weight 12 while passing the rope 8R through an opening 9 on the car side and an opening 10 on the balance weight side, respectively once, and of fixing the end parts of the rope 8R to the fixing means F.</p> |
