A vessel's power generation system (100) comprises: a waste heat recovery system (3) for generating steam by using waste heat of a propulsion engine (1) with a supercharger; a steam turbo generator (4) driven by the stream generated in the waste heat recovery system (3); a temperature detecting means (61) for detecting the temperature of air supplied to or exhausted from the propulsion engine (1); a load detecting means (62) for detecting the load of the propulsion engine (1); a flow rate adjusting means (47) for adjusting the flow rate of exhaust air flowing through a bypass pathway (46) and the flow rate of exhaust air sent to the supercharger (2); and a control means (50) for, according to the temperature and the load, controlling the flow rate adjusting means (47) so that the steam turbo generator (4) can generate power exceeding the power demanded in the vessel. |
