Coin number control device for coin wrapping machine - numbers and counts coins in coin stack using absolute valve rotational adjuster

The appts. controls the number of coins in a coin stack (1) in a coin packaging machine. Packing rollers serve to wrap packing tape (3) around a preset number of stacked coins. This is broader than the height of the stack of coins, so that a fold-in section of the packing tape protrudes above and below the stack of coins. The coin packing machine protrudes above and below the stack of coins. The coin packing machine also has a top (6) and bottom (7) srapping claw. These can be moved vertically towards, or away from, each other and are moved towards each other into a position for wrapping in the fold-in sections of the wrapping tape, clamping the pile of coins between them. The appts. also has a top carrier arm (8) carrying the top wrapping claw, a bottom one (9) for the bottom claw, a vertical cog-rail (12) fixed to one of the carrier arms and a turnable pinion (13) set in the other carrier arm and synchromeshed with the cog-rail. An absolute value rotational adjuster (14) linked to the pinion identifies position absolute values separately from the turning position of the pinion. A detector controls the number of coins in the stack of coins by calculating the sum of the distances covered by the top and bottom wrapping claws, based on the position absolute values produced by the rotational adjuster output of which is connected to a measurement value memory with a display.
