The present invention relates to a catalyst characterized in that it comprises a) at least one metal compound selected from a group consisting of metal carbide, -nitride, -silicide, -phosphide and -sulfide or mixtures thereof, wherein the metal is selected from a group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, vanadium, titanium, niobium, lanthanum and chromium, and b) at least one non-Brønsted-acidic binder selected from a group consisting of AlPO4, Bentonite, AlN and N4Si3. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process or a device for the preparation of olefins from C2-, C3- or C4-alkanes using the catalyst. |
