PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a password from being stolen on a touch panel terminal even when the screen is captured by peeping or spyware. ! SOLUTION: A password input method includes the steps of: randomly changing the shape a numeric keypad that is a software keyboard for inputting a password on a touch panel terminal, and character arrangement of the keys; detecting the orientation (vertical or horizontal direction) of the touch panel terminal and switching between a password inputtable screen on which the password can be input and a password non-inputtable screen on which the password cannot be input according to the detected orientation of the terminal; and hiding the characters on the numeric keypad on the password inputtable screen and displaying the characters on the numeric keypad for confirmation of key arrangement on the password non-inputtable screen.
