PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas monitor which can precisely specify a leakage point of a radioactive gas and reduces burden to workers. SOLUTION: A suction unit 30 has a suction nozzle 32 for sucking gas (air), and an indicator 34 for displaying a measurement result. The suction nozzle 32 is connected to a detection tank 15 of a measurement unit 10 through a flexible hose 40. When a pump 12 of the measurement unit 10 is operated, gas around a suction port at the tip end of the suction nozzle 32 is sucked and guided into the detection tank 15 through the hose 40. A measurement result of the measurement unit 10 is given to the indicator 34 of the suction unit 30 by a cable 42. A worker carries the small, light-weight and portable suction unit 30 and searches for a leakage point of radioactive gas while watching display on the indicator 34.
