<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus which can reliably avoid contact of a vehicle body and an obstacle present in a blind spot. <P>SOLUTION: A driving support apparatus 1 includes an object position sensor 10, a blind spot setting section 21, an obstacle identification section 24, an obstacle position determination section 25, and an information section 26. The object position sensor 10 and the obstacle identification section 24 sense an obstacle around a vehicle in a predetermined range. The blind spot setting section 21 sets areas, in a predetermined range, which are dead areas of the vehicle for a driver at the driver's seat of the vehicle, as blind spots.
